Replace the Filter Bag
Replace the filter bag when it gets filled with machining debris.
Bacteria in the tank water can build up. A minor break in the skin can introduce harmful bacteria into a wound. Always wear protective gloves if you have cuts or open wounds on your hands. Wear gloves that provide protection against sharp metal edges.
1. | Make sure that the ProtoMAX is turned off. |
2. | Unplug the drain water filter tank from the power source. |
3. | Set aside the catcher tank drain hose. |
4. | Compress the filter bag lip, then remove the tank cover. |

5. | Lift the filter bag from the tank and place it in a watertight container. |

Spent garnet and catcher tank material can be heavy. Use care when lifting drain water filter bag to prevent injury.
Water will seep through the filter bag. Always place the filter bag in a watertight container to avoid flooding.
6. | Position the catcher tank drain hose to the drain water filter tank. |

7. | Gently tap the filter bag to dewater, and then discard. See Disposing of Waste Materials. |
8. | Clean the drain water filter tank and components. See Clean the Drain Water Filter Tank. |
9. | Replace the filter bag. |
